BR-STP-2(18), WITH THE CITY PAYING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE MILLION, ONE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED FORTY-NINE AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,120,249.00) UPON RECEIPT OF SEMI-ANNUAL INVOICES FROM THE STATE OF TENNESSEE DURING THE COURSE OF THIS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, SAID FUNDS TO BE ADVANCED AND PAID FROM THE GENERAL FUND. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to execute a Contract with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, relative to the sharing of cost for the construction and maintenance of an overhead bridge structure, approaches and related drainage facilities and highway facilities, at McCallie Avenue, where the City shall become obligated to pay the Department of Transportation for 20% of the Bridge Construction Project in an amount not to exceed $1,120,249.00 upon receipt of semi-annual invoices from the State of Tennessee during the course of this construction project, said funds to be advanced and paid from the General Fund. Upon completion of this project, $1,119,249.00 shall be reimbursed to the City of Chattanooga by the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway pursuant to the agreement adopted by Resolution No. _______.
